Wit & Wisdom: Why Do We Need Meaningful Work?

We all have to work to make a living—but why do we care whether or not that work feels meaningful? What, exactly, is work and what makes it meaningful? Who gets to decide what counts as “meaningful” work, and how do they figure? And, of course, what difference does it make if our work is meaningful or not?

Leading the evening is Seth Tichenor, Philosofarian’s co-founder and longtime teacher of philosophy. His talks are rooted in the classical tradition yet shaped by real conversation—the kind that begins in wonder and ends in deeper questions. After the lecture, stay for discussion; the best thinking always happens together.
