Astoria might not technically be an island, but it sure can feel like an island sometimes. Not the lonely, isolated John Donne sort of island (that no man is), but a cheerful, welcoming, community-rich island. We’re surrounded by water on three sides, diverse and ecologically unique, with our own culture and customs.
