The first issue of The Astorian rolled off the presses in 1873. Through many name changes, equipment changes, schedule changes, multiple fires, different editors, format updates, mergers, and changes in ownership, The Astorian has been printing news for the North Coast for 150 years. This makes our city’s finest newspaper one of the oldest continuously printed periodicals in Oregon. That’s pretty big for a little town.
