“Taming the Mouth” is an exhilarating documentary project to unveil the dramatic saga of the Columbia River mouth, one of the world’s most treacherous navigational passages. This film will explore the river’s vast geography, its profound historical significance, and the monumental construction of the jetties that have mastered its fierce waters. Through interviews with historians, engineers, and residents, It hopes to illuminate the immense challenges of building the jetties, their impact on trade and ecology, and the personal stories of those deeply connected to this engineering triumph.
