The Holiday Friends is a five-person band from northern Idaho that formed in the autumn of 2008. Members include: Scott Fagerland (guitar, vocals) Jesse Wityczak (keyboard, vocals), Jon Fagerland (guitar, vocals), Zack O’Connor (bass, vocals), and Jacob Mraz (drums). They self-released their debut EP Neon Persuasion in the spring of 2009, and began building a broader fan base through regular live performance.

Their sound draws from a variety of influences, but is distinct and maintains its integrity. While employing synthesizer arrangements reminiscent of groups like The Killers and the incorporation of intertwining guitar melodies and bass lines redolent of Modest Mouse, they also tip the hat to giants such as The Beatles and The Beach Boys through proficient use of vocal harmonies, organic acoustics and auxiliary percussion.

Their Musical Influences include The Beatles, The Shins, Animal Collective, Timid Tiger, Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, The Beach Boys, Modest Mouse, My Morning Jacket, The Killers and others.
