Drink Your Beer and Eat It Too

In Astoria and the surrounding coastal communities of Northern Oregon and Southern Washington we see plenty of stormy days, but there is nothing like coming in from the elements to a savory hot meal and a tasty cold beer.  Nothing, that is, except for a meal cooked with Fort George beer.  Check out some of these great local spots where you’ll find Fort George beer on tap and on the dinner menu. Lager Battered Fish and Chips:  Fresh Pacific Snapper dipped in Fort George Brewery 1811 Lager beer batter served with fresh cut fries, lemon and tartar.
St. Louis Smoked Ribs:  Ribs rubbed in Memphis dust rub and smoked, served with fresh cut fries, uptown slaw and a side of house made Fort George Brewery Cavatica Stout BBQ sauce.

Vortex Pickled Wild Mushrooms:  Seasonal wild mushrooms pickled with a mix of garlic, sweet Walla Walla onions, herbs, spices and Vortex IPA.
Lamb and Wild Mushroom Stew:  Grass fed lamb from Sudan Farm in Canby, Oregon, seasonal wild mushrooms, turnips, parsnips, rutabagas and more – seasoned and stewed to perfection with Working Girl Porter.
