Fruit Beer Fest 6/8-6/10

Fruit is one of our favorite things to brew with.  It gets a bad name from some macho beer drinkers, but can be done right.  This fest is an awesome example of that.  In its second year, it is now back and bigger than ever.  Hosted at the Burnside Brewery, there couldn’t be a better location for a Portland Beer Week event.  Fort George is representing with a return of South.  South is an extra special Pinot Noir barrel aged beer that is also conditioned on raspberries.  Check out more here at the Fruit Beer Fest website.

Brewer’s Social Happy Hour 6/13 at the Bridgetown Beer House

Come drink with the pros of the brewing industry.  This is the coolest craft brew happy hour ever!

(From the PDX Beer Week site).  Don’t let the name fool you, though this is the Brewers Social Hour the public is invited to come mingle with Stone Brewing Co.’s Brewmaster Mitch Steele, the legendary John Harris, Charles Porter of Logsdon Farmhouse Ales, Jack Harris the founder/owner of Fort George Brewing and Elysian Founder/Brewer Dave Buhler. Each brewer will have one special beer on tap at Bridgetown Beerhouse off of Missippi ave. from 3-6pm.
